The Company

Midas Components Ltd is an Electronic Component Distributor, specialising in the design-in and sales support of Audible, Display, EMI / RFI, LED, Sensor and Wound Products.

In a time of large and often impersonal global 'Broadline Distributors', the Midas Components Team pride themselves on the now sadly rare core values of Personal Service, Product Experience, Reliability, Quality and Customer-Supplier Partnerships.

The Company was formed in August 2000, following the closure of the Great Yarmouth office of Arrow Displays (formerly Mercator). By having an in-depth understanding of the Product Range and recognising customers needs, the Company has achieved steady growth during a difficult trading period. Many other Distributors saw a significant decline in turnover during this time.

The Products

The product range is imported from all corners of the world - from reliable suppliers providing high quality, cost effective components.

Midas Components Ltd offers many 'front panel' or 'sound and vision' products including Displays, LED, Audible Products and Ultrasonic Sensors.

To compliment these, we also offer an extensive range of EMC / EMI suppression components such as RFI Filters, Ferrites and Wound Products including Coils, Chokes and Inductors.

All products are supported by the Midas Team's vast technical knowledge. Not only can we offer extensive commercial services relating to these components, we can support the customers new project design-in requirements.

The Senior Management Team

Mike Halpin - Managing Director Mike, as one of the founders of the company, has over 20 years experience within Electronic Component Distribution and over 10 years technical and commercial involvement with Displays. Before setting up Midas he was Sales and Marketing Manager for Arrow Displays.
Dick Wedon - Director As a co-founder of Midas, Dick brings to the company some 28 years experience within the Electronics Industry and over 20 years experience specialising in EMC / EMI and Magnetic Products.
Paul Banham - Business Development Manager Paul has been in the Electronics Industry for over 30 years, and was Unit Manager at Mercator for 14 years. Paul brings to Midas Components a wealth of experience gained at Senior Management level.

All three have extensive experience of interfacing customers with overseas suppliers.
