Sanwa - Supplier of Ultrasonic Sensors to Midas Components Ltd
Sanwa Newtec CO. Ltd, with its headquarters in Tottori, Japan, has been home to some of its ultrasonic transducer products. Various types are produced in Sanwa Newtec to supply their international customers for electronics and automotive applications.
The ultrasonic transducer production was established in May 2002 producing only drip proof type sensors but has now expanded to produce some of the open aperture type models as well.

Open Type
This type of Ultrasonic Transducers uses piezoelectric bender and radial cone for its constructions. With this special kind of constructions, it provides high sensitivity and sound level, excellent durability over wide temperature and humidity range, and a high stability over electrical and mechanical vibration. Due to its characteristics, this type is very suitable for air medium application as well as continuous pulse driving.

Closed (Splash proof) Type
The entire component in this type is enclosed within metal housing treated for severe ambient condition use. The back of the transducer is completely sealed with a resin making it water proof and dust proof. This model is ideal for outdoor application.
